ANYONE BUT YOU BY AMY HELMES & KIM ASKEW (REVIEW)

DESCRIPTION:
The Montes love Italian food. And they hate the Caputos, That's how it is. It's been that way for sixty years. Every time the Caputos start to get a reputation for great pizza (and who knows? It could be better than the Montes!) there's "an accident" and Cap's is knocked back on its knees. What nobody knows is that the family teenagers are sick of their parents acting like schoolyard bullies, when nobody even remembers why the fight started! Gigi Caputo and Roman Monte, the son and daughter, are secretly in love. Determined to put a stop to their parents' vicious feud, they risk their parents' livelihood and their own lives. In this nod to Romeo and Juliet, will love win? Or vendetta?

MY REVIEW:
I REALLY WANT TO APPLAUD BOTH AUTHORS FOR HAVING THE COURAGE OF WRITING A STORY BASED ON ROMEO AND JULIET. THEY BOTH GAVE THIS STORY A SPECIAL TWIST TO AN OLD SHAKESPEARE STORY, AND THEY DID AN AWESOME JOB. THE STORY IS WRITTEN IN TWO PARTS, SWITCHING BETWEEN TIME PERIODS. SOMETIMES IT WAS HARD KEEPING UP WHEN THE CHAPTERS CHANGE INTO ANOTHER TIME PERIOD BUT IT REELS YOU IN A WAY THAT YOU WON'T DARE STOP. TO BE TRUTHFUL I NEVER READ ROMEO AND JULIET AND AFTER READING THIS BOOK, IT LEFT ME WANTING TO READ THE STORY JUST TO SEE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CHARACTERS.

I LOVED GIGI'S (JULIET) AND ROMAN (ROMEO) ROMANCE. I LOVED BOTH CHARACTERS WHICH IS HARD TO SAY WHEN YOU READ OTHER BOOKS, I USUALLY END UP LOVING ONE OR THE OTHER.

IN THIS BOOK YOU WILL NOT ONLY READ ABOUT  THE ROMANCE BETWEEN THE MAIN CHARACTERS BUT YOU WILL READ ABOUT  HOW THE FEUD STARTED BETWEEN FAMILIES. SO I WILL SURELY AND GLADLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO EVERYONE, SPECIALLY IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING NEW TO READ, SOMETHING DIFFERENT.

I GIVE THIS BOOK ★★★★★

Being Sloane Jacobs (Review)

 January 7, 2014

Description:
A new novel about following your dreams . . . and finding your heart from the author of Meant to BeMeet Sloane Emily Jacobs: a seriously stressed-out figure skater who choked during junior nationals and isn't sure she's ready for a comeback. What she does know is that she'd give anything to escape the mass of misery that is her life.

Now meet Sloane Devon Jacobs, a spunky ice hockey player who's been suspended from her team for too many aggressive hip checks. Her punishment? Hockey camp, now, when she's playing the worst she's ever played. If she messes up? Her life will be over.

When the two Sloanes meet by chance and decide to trade places for the summer, each girl thinks she's the lucky one. But it didn't occur to Sloane E. that while avoiding sequins and axels she might meet a hockey hottie—and Sloane D. never expected to run into a familiar (and very good-looking) face from home. It's not long before the Sloanes discover that convincing people you're someone else might be more difficult than being yourself

My Review:
If I have to describe this book with one word it would be ADORABLE..This book would be awesome for TEENS! The topic of this book is more based on the girls trying to run away from their problems. I wish this book had a bit more romance on it. Me being a fan of hockey I appreciated the talk about the sport on this book. This book was written pretty good for being told from two POV. I would recommend to be given as gift to Teens.

MY REVIEW:

Skater boy is romantic, funny, Sexual, and Heartbreaking. I love both main characters stories. The both have their problems and they feel unworthy of each other. Rory is one hell of sexy man, cocky but romantic. Hindley is so down to earth and humble. I recommend this book to everyone. This book will leavie you satisfied as it has everything from romance, to serious personal topics, to funny quotes, to talks about Xtreme sports (which I love by the way). Make sure to read My Skater boy, This books deserves 5 stars.

Rory the hot skater, his explosive, dangerous, and player but he can be sweet, caring, and romantic.
Just the perfect mix of Bad Boy and Prince Charming.

MY REVIEW:

So Many unexpected turns in this book, which make his book so great. Heartbreaking scenes that will leaving you with tears in your eyes. Rory is so explosive but romantic, he is dangerous but adorable. He is funny too. In this book secrets will be revealed, you will be shock for sure. In a few chapters my jaw was hanging on the floor. I was in rage knowing what a person can do when they dont have self esteem even when they are so beautiful in the outside. I have to give this book 5 stars and yes this book is that good. Living you like you are in roller coaster that will mess with all of your emotions. Your going to be laughing, crying, screaming.
